Hello! Audrey Teno here, I am a pet and family photographer. So you would like to know a thing or two about me huh? I’ve been told I have a great sense of humor and that I am funny. Most of the time I am a happy girl with a positive attitude. I have been a photographer for 37 years. I started shooting not only landscapes, flowers and wild life but my dogs, my friends and family as well. I am my happiest behind the camera as it is my true passion. I have a huge love of animals so put me behind the camera with an animal as my subject and I am downright delirious with joy! I also love to photograph families, kids and babies, just such delicious fun!

Almost 12 years ago I retired from the corporate world. I moved to Cape Cod where I ran my own gift shop gallery and sold many of my fine art prints. When I came home to San Diego I started Creative Touch Album Design (http://www.creativetouchalbumdesign.com) creating albums for various events from weddings to vacation trips to Bar Mitzvah’s to Pregnancy, etc. One day I was asked by my friends to create an album featuring their beautiful dog. I thought that was a fantastic idea! I loved creating that album and it turned out beautifully. Since then I have designed many pet albums, family albums, party albums etc. On one glorious day I had one of those “Ah Ha Moments” as Oprah would say to combine my passion for photography and album design with my passion for animals and in that moment My Puppy Dog Tales was born. I spell Tales like the story as our treasured photographs represent the stories of our lives.

Over the years as I worked with my clients they asked if I could photograph their family, their children and their babies. It has been a very rewarding expansion of my business so now My Puppy Dog Tales represents all happy wagging tails, human and animals alike.

With my children grown, my dog Sasha is my baby. With her and my family every day is like Christmas, They are my joy, and my light. I can’t imagine life without them. I can never put into words how much I love them. If you feel the same way about your pets and your family then I expect us to hit it off smashingly!

I am lucky enough to have my dream job. So if you have been wanting professional photographs of yourself with your pet or just special photos of your pet I am your gal. The Photo Session:

I shoot primarily in the late afternoon or early morning as the light is usually best. Our scheduled time can change a bit due to light and weather conditions. If it is raining we will reschedule so please keep that in mind.

Try to arrive early so as not to feel rushed. I want this to be a relaxing and enjoyable time for all.

Photo Preview:

We will schedule a convenient time (approximately 2 weeks after your session) in my office for you to view your proofs. You will be presented with a slide show which will help with the decision making process. Think about where you would like to display your photographs and if you need any gifts. If you plan to do a wall display please bring your wall measurements that way I can help you with determining the appropriate sizes. This is always a fun and enjoyable experience.
